Fuel pump - Gus - 16.01.2014 Hello all Will my R1200s fuel pump fit into a HP2 sport fuel tank? Starting the race bike build now I have most of the parts I need. Many thanks Gus RE: Fuel pump - Q-JP - 16.01.2014 Hi Gus, when I check the part number of the fuel pump at realoem.com than the fuelpumps are the same at nearly all R1200 and HP2 models http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=16147680379i get ready for the Boxercup ![]() Jürgen RE: Fuel pump - Gus - 16.01.2014 Hi Jueurgen Thankyou . Ii I thought they would be the same . Just wanted some reassurance before swapping them over. I am currently stripping out the alarm and any other bits I don't need for racing. I will post some pics of progress as I go on. All the best Gus RE: Fuel pump - Gus - 19.01.2014 Hi all A quick update. The fuel pumps are the same. But the pick up is different. There is a slot in the white plastic ring on the tank which locates the fuel pump assembly. It is on the opposite side to where it is on a 1200s. This puts the pick up in the wrong position. It is not in the lowest part of the tank. I may have to make a new pick up to enable it to fit. Unless those who have converted there 1200s to hp2 sport bodywork know another way.. All help very much appreciated.. All the best Gus Ps a hp2 sport pump assembly is very expensive although would be easier...
RE: Fuel pump - Gus - 05.02.2014 Hello all I managed to modify the furl by cutting bits off it!!! ![]() Fits ok now and should pick up the lower part of the tank. So less fuel for extra lightness!! :ok2: Gus RE: Fuel pump - Gus - 05.02.2014 Zitat:Original von Gus |
